Rain Garden
I’m building a rain garden.
Which is like constructing a little dry creek. But it’s a pond. The birds and squirrels are excited. They love seeing the earth turned up. The worms maybe not so much.
The idea is that you sequester the water (and the pollutants from urban life) into the ground rather than letting them flow away with the topsoil.
I like this idea, as I turn over the earth of my darker sides. The idea that it becomes sequestered, not suppressed, or that my deepest thoughts would be washed away. I am sequestered in myself.
